The idea for Custom Garage Works® was born from Texas Summer nights spent working on late 60’smuscle cars in our dads’ garages. We spent many countless hours in a cramped, dirty garage, with the poor lighting, squeezing under the car on the greasy, oil stained floor and taking forever to find the right tools. We learned from our Dads the workings of those power house engines in the muscle cars of their late youth. When we were in high school we restored and suped up our own muscle cars, many of the same cars our Dads had loved and raced when they were younger. Our fathers also instilled in us a very strong work ethic and the painstaking trait of detail, detail…and more detail when taking on and completing a project. We knew there had to be a way to make our garages more organized, cleaner…..and well, just more enjoyable to be in, not just for us but for our growing families as well. After exhausting research and testing, we were very unhappy with the low quality, cheap products that were being offered. We found cheap epoxy floor coatings put on top of acid etched concrete that would peel and flake after only a few months of use. We found low quality cabinets that were nothing more than slightly modified closet cabinets. Our research also showed us the large number of people just like us looking for high quality garage cabinets and storage units and durable, long-lasting garage floor coatings. Tapping into what we felt was an unmet need in the residential garage renovation market; we founded Custom Garage Works with the simple mission to bring impeccable design and quality to the garage.
